Equipment used by the KCPS

Thermometers - We have an array of thermocouple (ambient temperature) and infra-red long range thermometers.

Digital Voice Recorders - We have numerous digital voice recorderes that have the capability to be synced with a computer, and we use Wavepad sound editor to review the files. We also have an omni-directional mic.

Cameras - Digital and SLR cameras are frequently used on all investigations.

Video Cameras - We have four stationary infra-red cameras with a DVR/TV monitoring system and one handheld DVR camera with infra-red capability.

Flashlights - We use a variety of LED flashlights with multi-color filtering.

EMF Detectors - We have a K2 detector as well as 2 standard EMF detectors.

The equipment used most often is common sense. We are constantly keeping track of our investigations through both digital timestamps, and hand recorded notes.
